In the film, Wasif played the role of Hind Bint Otba, wife of the Mecca notable Abu Sufyan, while the Moroccan actor Al-Tayeb al-Saddiqi played that of Abu Jahel, the uncle of the Prophet Mohammad. The film was directed and produced by the Syrian-based Hollywood director Mustapha al-Akkad.
