An envelope from the archives of Syrian singer Fata Dimashq, sent to him by his mentor Fakhri al-Barudi - Damascus 1948

The envelope is official stationary from the National Cement Company, in which Fakhri al-Barudi was a co-founder and shareholder. Fata Dimashq, whose real name was Bahjat al-Ustaz, was "discovered" by Fakhri al-Barudi in 1948. Barudi arranged that he trains in music and gets employment at the newly founded Damascus Radio.
