General Ziad al-Hariri, chief-of-staff of the Syrian Army between March-June 1963

Ziad al-Hariri was a senior Nasserist officer who staged, with help of the Baathists, a coup d'etat on March 8, 1963, bringing down the regime of President Nazem al-Qudsi and his Prime Minister Khaled al-Azm.
